Customized Ceramic Parts

Ariste

The most common material used for structural ceramic parts is alumina. The versatility of alumina stems from its broadly impressive material properties, ease of manufacture, wide availability, and budget-friendly cost. Ariste’s 80% alumina to 99.9% alumina bodies are work-horse materials for applications that require electrical isolation, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and good mechanical strength. The grade of alumina is selected to best fit the application.

Standard Purity Alumina (80%, 95%, 96%, 98%)

Ariste’s SPA are the industry work-horse materials for applications that require electrical isolation, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, combined with a good mechanical strength.

High Purity Alumina (99.5%, 99.8%, 99.9%)

Ariste’s HPA bodies offer improved performance over lower purity alumina ceramics in demanding operating conditions, make for improved corrosion resistance due to lower impurity/silica content. Higher hardness, increased dielectric strength. Finer grain sizes also allow for smooth surface finishes. The grade of alumina is selected to best fit the application.

Ariste’s HPA insulators exhibits superior flexural strength and dielectric strengths making them excellent candidates for thin walled parts in high-voltage applications.
